Save Our Song Birds
Dear Friends,
Once again we are in Costa Rica for the winter monitoring birds in the mangroves.
We arrived Nov. 11th in San Jose, stayed at the Hotel La Amistad for one night then went directly to Monteverde for a MoSi workshop three days.
Below is a photo of Maureen extracting a Motmot. Since then we have been incredibly busy working in the mangroves.
We had to purchase a new Old car (1989 Nissan Sentra) to replace our old Old car(92 Hyundai). This was precipitated by a wheel falling off while driving on the highway and other problems. We are happy with our purchase other than the annoying alarm that we are learning to deal with.
The weather has been great, a little more rain than usual but hot every day.
